Top 25 Must Have Books for 2011 Spring Summer!!

Hey Lovelies!
Despite the weather here in Jersey I'm in a good mood. I got nearly 11 hours of sleep so that might be a big help! I'm still a little tired, but we'll just blame college for that! So yesterday really was really a good day for Family Ties! As I posted yesterday, Family Ties recieved 5/5 stars and was called one of her favorite books, recieved noticed that Family Ties was on the list of "top 25 must have books for Spring and Summer of 2011"!! Books such as Water for Elephants, Gone with the Wind, Wicked, and Family Ties!! Since summer is right around the corner and you need an idea of what to read I would suggest checking out the list! Abby was called a "great role model for younger girls".

Turns to raise an eyebrow at Abby as she smirks.

"Hey the public loves your characters!"

I laugh.

"I know! I love that!"

I also didn't notice till last night that I sold a few copies of End of the Line on kindles! I was surprised and happy about that! I promise though the edited verison is coming soon! Taylor and I will be working on a cover when finals are over! Things are moving along! I'll be doing a character interview with Lauren and Aaron when it gets closer to the re-release!

Review

Hey Lovelies,
First got to love finding out AFTER consuming a product that you are allegic, not cool body! I inheriated from my dad being allergic to red wine. Not something I wanted to find out after hanging out with a friend I haven't seen in awhile. However I'll safe you from "my body hates me" rant. Nothing beats though not really sleeping at night because of overheating to chills then seeing a second review of Family Ties!

Books Ahoy write a really sweet review for it and I was touched. I've read the Twilight series, it might not be very high on my own list, but even I know that when someone says they liked it as much as Twilight, to take the complient and run up the hill, nearly prancing gushing the excitement! You are reading the blog of a girl who wrote most of her stories in high school (I wrote Family Ties when I was 16), was very nervous to even have people read her stories, to having now 2 books published and 450 people are trying to win a signed copy of something I wrote! I really hope that doesn't come out snubby, it wasn't my intention, but it mind boggles me and seems surreal!

I really am glad that people are enjoying Family Ties after they are reading it! I noticed that End of the Line gained a few more people on Goodreads, That really makes me thrilled. My stories are like my children, a part of me, sorry if that sounds weird! I just want to remind people please be patient! I'll have it edited real soon and in 2 weeks when Taylor is done with school her and I will be working on the new cover! I really love all this processes!

Again I keep links to all the reviews and interviews. If you click on the tab you can read the two reviews and compare, there will be a few more to come though!! :)

Family Ties first Review!

Hey Lovelies!
Bare with me my mind is...actually I'm not really sure where it is. I was up till early this morning doing homework after no sleep this weekend. I just made a muffin man reference from shrek to a friend when we were talking about us and having children god only knows when in the future. I really should be timing how long it is taking me to write this post! I should be in bed by 11 hopefully I'm exhasted! Though getting an email this morning (i've been out with classes all day and I've been workin on this post for over an hour because my friend who is in Italy this semster is talking to me on Facebook and I haven't talked to her in awhile!) about Family Ties getting it's first
review. It was funny I posted on facebook taht I got the first review and a couple of the other reviewers wanted to be the first, but there will more to come! I love reading reviews, especially when they give feedback on why they felt it deserved the rating they gaved.

End of the Line's
review by Sam, seriously still makes me giddy, she can't wait to read Family Ties! So while a couple more reviews of Family Ties Comes in you should check out the review of it on The Awesome Magic Attic! She gave Family Ties 3 out of 5 stars, not as high as End of the Line but she liked it! She calls it "a story of a generation old story replayed, Family Ties is a great story for all the happily-ever-after-fairytale lovers out there." I was so happy about that, and to see that someone other than me related it to a fairytale setting. I am seriously touched by what she said about my characters, I really enjoy my characters and my friends joke about how I tend to talk about them like they are real. She did point I need to watch my wording, which my professors have pointed out to me so I appericate the honesty and have something to work on for the next story! :) You should read her whole review and see her lovely blog!

Interview!

Hey Lovelies, I was approached to do an interview for a blog, but it is a little different the other blogs that I follow. It is run by Pamela who talks about many things in life such as family, pregnancy, shopping, and yes books! You should totally check out her blog!! I was having a pretty crummy day, between seeing her post the interview and finally getting the paperbacks of Family Ties my frown was turned upside down! I seriously can not stop gushing over these books! They are thicker then the first edition of End of the Line. They have the new book smell (i'm not crazy!). I was not expecting my picture in the back of the book, seeing the cover in person. I truly can not get over also seeing my words in print! I know it is my second book, but after reading so many books over the years, then seeing my own words just like I've read other authors just aws me and makes me just beam! Last time I saw my work in print for the the first tiem I think I nearly killed my ex's (we were dating at the time) ear drum from screaming from joy on the phone. I felt so giddy seeing also on the back of the cover says "Ottilie Weber's moving story her second Novel. her First novel, End of the Line, Garnered critical Acclaim"! I feel all warmy and fuzzzy seeing End of the Line on there! I'm not sure if Abby would like sharing the claim with Aaron and Lauren, but she'll get over it! EEEEE I'm still buzzing about this!! Read this interview though HERE !! It was a lot of fun! I'm sure I probably sound a little more crazy then I normally do, blame school! You can also like Family Ties on facebook to see the pictures of the book in person and follow updates! ~Ottilie

Where do you find your books?

Hey lovelies! Haha sorry if the eyes creep anyone out, but I was having fun with the old End of the Line cover, to figure out what to do for the new one. I want to keep that image, so I was playing around with paint. I kind of like how the image is the other eye, part of me wishes I could do that as the image on CreateSpace, one eye on the front then the other on the back. Though part of me thinks people would get a little freaked out by that. I might have figured out the new cover though, I think I found one I liked. To the point of this entry! I am trying to think of ways to promote Family Ties since it was just released. Later on when End of the Line is re-release I can use the information again. How do you find books to read? What do you want from the author of the books? What bothers you how books are marketed? Sorry for the questions, but I kind of like hearing how people find out about books. I know I probably should be able to think of this on my own, but I'm open for suggestions :) You scratch my back, I scratch yours! Happy Readings, Ottilie

Irony and Editing

Hey Lovelies! So I guess I kind of have a cynical sense of humor at times. I go to TCNJ (The College of New Jersey) and for those of you who are not from the area it is right near Rider University. There was a guy who has been visiting TCNJ, Rider, and Princeton looking for young girls. Last Monday (3/28) he almost got a girl into his car. He failed, but friday (4/1) was seen on TCNJ's campus, he was not arrested, but asked to leave and was banned from ever being on campus. First of all, really society you can't put him away?? Seriously? You know he is young girls, almost got one in his car, but all he gets is a letter?? I saw a picture of him and holy cow he is ubberly creepy looking, really sent a chill down my spine! Okay my cynical side is that Family Ties came out that day and it is about a kidnapping... So in other news, I'm going through End of the Line, because I am going to add a scene for the second edition to make it special. I am going through to see where the new scene possibly scenes will be before it is edited :) I'm enjoying the skeeming! Happy Readings, ~Ottilie

Reviewers Needed for Family Ties

Hey Lovelies! Family Ties came out friday, and sorry BN took it off their site, apparently if a book doesn't fill the quota for a certain point the company takes the books on and off. I think that is a little crazy since Family Ties hadn't even came out yet, but I progress. I have a couple of people who said they would do reviews for Family Ties. I however do not even have a physical copy yet, but if you do not mind doing a review off an electronic form please contact me either via email or by commenting on this post. Right Now the Reviewers are: Samantha YA Indie Princess Books Ahoy The description is again : Abby was raised with not nursery rhythms by Mother Goose, Fairy Tales, or Asepses Fables, but narratives of her Great Grandmother, Emma. Emma has the dream life that got past down to the family as a story or so Abby thought. During one of the hottest summers in a long time in New Jersey Abby and her best friend Cory are working at a restaurant in town while their peers go to the beach to have fun. All the two do is work and Abby keeps thinking she rather be doing something bigger then her town and be out of the sight of her overprotective family. Abby learns after she is kidnapped that she has to be careful for what she wishes for, because it might come in a form she may not be expecting… Again I only need a couple of people, so first comes first serve :) otherwise I really hope that you all check it out, the characters are a lot of fun, the plot will keep you turning pages, and you can finally understand what I've been babbling on about! Happy Readings, ~Ottilie

Family Ties Released!!

Hey Lovelies!

Family Ties is offically released! I can not believe it, time really flew by! Now people can understand what I've been talking about!

Abby: "What you've been talking about? They might understand our interview a little better."

Me: "I purposely did that in preperation, I'll do an interview for Lauren and Aaron before I re-release End of the Line."

Abby: "Well they can wait, it is our time to celebrate Family Ties!"

I roll my eyes.

As I was saying! Family Ties is now offically out for Bucks County Publishing site, Barnes and Nobles, and Amazon! I can not believe!! I really hope you all can take a look at it. To read a sample click here. By the way the cheapest place I've seen it is at Barnes and Nobles. I know that isn't the typical thing to do, (tell where it is the cheapest by the author) however I am a reader also and know books pile up! Well again I hope you all can take a look. Maybe pick it up, I hope you won't be disappointed!
