Yesterday was a rainy Saturday and going to the vet in addition to doing laundry were the only things on my agenda. How adult right? So I decided to treat myself to some homemade cookies even though I'm trying to get back to my healthy habits. I'm good all week so I decided it was time to enjoy life a little. It doesn't help that I wanted to use a few things that I had gotten from my bridal shower. Now, a bridal shower when you're opening up plates, towels, and knives and getting exciting for those stuff makes you realize, 'Oh gees, I have hit this point'.
I got this spatula from my bridal shower. How cute is that? I love it! It is a little embarrassing to say I love that little spatula when I got expensive stuff too. I was able to use some of the other cooking/baking stuff yesterday. There is something nice about new stuff.
Okay, you don't want to hear about me and spatulas. This week the last installment of the Mistakes series will be released! This series has been in the works since I was in high school. I think I started it when I was a sophomore. Actually Moonlit Eyes was originally going to be a novel by itself and it was the book that I was working on. Its title was Mistakes. I got about a quarter through it then wrote myself into a corner. Then a couple of years later I wrote Shadows from the Past which was suppose to be in a collection. The collection ended up not happening, but then I thought of a way to connect that story with the one I started in high school.
I had the chance to write in a Halloween collection, but I didn't get the Whispers in the Woods done in time so again this story was put aside. Finally I was decided to write the whole series on its own. Little by little I was able to get each story added to the series. It is a little embarrassing that that the first one was published in 2013. Oops! I had finished the last one in the fall and was prepared to publish it for Halloween like I normally do. However, the ending just felt flat to me. A couple months later I figured out how to fix the ending. I hope that everyone enjoys the ending and that it has been worth the wait! :)
