Giveaway ~ End of the Line

Hey Lovelies!
So I'm still trying to get End of the Line's foot in the door. I'm still working on the second book to this, and it just took me in a direction I wasn't expecting so it is taking me a little bit. On top of doing the Goodreads giveaway I decided to do a giveaway of the ebook version! I'm going to giveaway a couple of copies of End of the Line (Depending on how many people enter!). For now I'm searching for TWO winners, (however if you remember in the past I tend to give out more then I say I will depending on how many enter). In the spirit of Halloween and the fact that this book is based off a nightmare of mine, you should list either a nightmare you've had OR a fear of yours! Since I don't want to ask followers to do something I wouldn't do, I've shared a nightmare of mine with you (End of the Line) and one of my biggest fears is snakes....

Rules:
Comment this post:
    -leave your email address!
-A nightmare you have had OR a fear of yours!
Last day will be October 12, 2012 (Friday!)

Good Luck and spread the news! :)
More that enter, more that win :)

Leading Lady ~ Emma

Hey Lovelies!
I always talk about Abby and how she is the main character of Family Ties. Yes that is very true, Abby is one of the main characters of Family Ties. However I also talk about how Family Ties is told not in one, not in two, but THREE POVs! You already met Abby and her counter part Cory, but who is the third you might be thinking. The third is Emma, she is Abby's Great Grandmother who lived in Germany when she was growing up. Her tale is about before Abby's family ends up in America. What was Emma like? How did she end up in America? How does this relative connect to why Abby was kidnapped? All valid questions!

Abby

Brown Hair
Brown Eyes
Smart
Strong
Good Dancer
Resourceful
Singer
Willing to do whatever it takes
~If the second book ends up working out, you'll learn more about Emma because I did comments about that.

Scene:

I was standing on my balcony, having a free moment for myself, for once in I can’t remember how long.  Some guard was probably standing in my doorway, however, but I was alone out here.  I stood outside to enjoy the simple joy of the wind blowing through my long brown hair, as the sun, bright and warm, shined down on me.  Having my hair not tied back, but free for the first time without it not being time to go to sleep.  It whipped around lightly in the small breeze.  A beautiful spring day as winter was dying away.
I opened my arms wide out to welcome the wind to this unhappy German home with my eyes closed, the sun was warm compared to my home.  Feeling the sense of freedom wash over me, as the wind blew by with the chirping of birds and the sounds of the river, all teasing me of the freedom the rest of the world had that I could only dream of.  Dream of and yet never achieve.  Then I felt these huge strong hands start to slide around my waist so that his arms could wrap around me like two snakes.
“You didn’t have permission to enter!” I snapped, feeling my voice stay strong, not turning around to see him.
My body was tense as my arms crossed over my chest and narrowing my eyes at the vast land before me.  He pulled me closer so that my back was pressed against his chest.  My head was a little under his chin, with his arms firmly around my waist, not ready to budge.
“I don’t need your permission to enter any room in this house.  This house, and you, will belong to me one day soon.” His voice was but a whisper as he leaned over to speak into my ear, his breath causing a shiver down my spine.
“Lord Wilhelm, I shall never be yours or anyone’s!  Take your hands off me this moment or I shall scream for everyone to hear!” I threatened as I started to squirm to try to escape from his prison arms.
He took his hands off me, but using a hand he swung me around so I could finally see him.  Wilhelm was very handsome, but he was as evil as he was handsome, it was almost as if the evil drew people in before they knew the real trap of his personality of venom.
Women will throw themselves at his feet just based on his looks and the so-called charm that I have yet to have seen.  He has light blonde hair and what some girls have called seductive dark blue eyes.  He is much taller than me and has broad shoulders along with strong muscles from the hunting and sports.  At all the grand parties, where we are all dressed in our best clothing, dressed looking like the finest people,  everyone keeps asking when the two of us, the prefect couple, was marrying.  It all makes me gag!
He glared into my eyes, taking a hold of my shoulders, crushing them so that I would face him, and not be able to turn away from him as I started to try.  It felt like he was going to rip my shoulders off my body, but I could not let him see my pain, that he was affecting me in some way.  That will just help him.  Fuel that snake glare that I knew was inside of him.  You never let the evil know how much pain they are causing you.  It shows them that they are winning over you, that they have an advantage.  Even if it meant that I couldn’t wear more than half of my clothes because of the new bruises on my shoulders and upper arms.
“Emma, you keep chasing all the guys away with your personality,” he spoke, even toned, with a half smile forming on his face, trying to see if he hit a spot or not with me.
“It isn’t my personality that is scaring people away.  They just witness how I treat you!” I growled, hands at my sides, turning into tight fists.
“When we are together you will have to do what I say when I say it,” he spoke again, voice smooth, pulling me by my hips closer to him.
“I will never!  I will never ever have to listen to you because I am not your property to show off!” I couldn’t hide my anger anymore.
Using all of my force that I could muster up, I drew my arms back, pushing them against his chest so that Lord Wilhelm went off of the terrace and into the lake below my window.  A splash was heard, music to my ears.  That was when I heard the maids start laughing.  I leaned over on the wall of the balcony to see what they were laughing at; the sight of Lord of the Muck.

Oh and a minor twist in the plot ;P so if you are interested in doing a review, I'm looking for a couple! I have the ebook format ready to go on my computer so you can get it instantly! Either comment this post or email me at ottilieweber(at)gmail(dot)com.

Available once again!

Hey Lovelies!
After the long journey, End of the line is available once again! It is available for ebooks and now paperback! This book is based off a nightmare I had every couple of years from age nine to age seventeen. I got pretty close to the dream with the characters and the plot. However the dream was a little bit futuristic and I did change that though. This new edition has a couple new scenes, a character with a changed name, a sample of another piece and a new snazzy cover!

Those are my two babies below :) I'm looking for a couple of reviews, I've already sent out a couple if you are interested contact me :)

Scene:

The bell rang for the end of the day, telling us to separate, summer was officially starting. Everyone ran out of the rooms to enjoy the rest of the day that they had. My friends and I waved to each other knowing we’d see each other soon, we had all summer. School had been a half day so there was still time to find a way to the beach or to someone’s pool. It was a warm sunny day, one that should be enjoyed. On the way out of the door Cory and I had jump back to be flat against the lockers as someone started to run down the hall in a banana suit followed by a person in a gorilla costume with a screaming middle aged teacher with a receding hairline behind them. It was the last day of school after all, might as well make it a memorable last day.

“We’ll see or talk to you guys later!” I shouted down the hall waving my hand high in the air towards Zoey and Danielle.

“Bye Abby!”

Cory and I headed towards our homes, passing the cars getting stuck behind the buses that were filing out to get everyone home, but in reality they just caused more traffic. Acting like the true friend that he is, he took my book out of my hand and started to run ahead on the sidewalk leaving me behind. I started to run to catch up with him, yelling all the way about him being an idiot because I wasn’t too far behind him, I was gaining up on him, but then I thought of a better way to get him. I stopped quickly then took one of my shoes off and chucked it at his head.

Yes, a direct hit! He turned around rubbing the back of his head and I started to crack up and ran up to get my book back from him then slipped my shoe back on. I stuck my tongue out on him and he grabbed me by my waist. He pulled me close to him. I couldn’t stop laughing not that I wanted to stop it was an amazing shot after all. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders so I was trapped in a hug. He held me tight enough that I couldn’t escape, but loose enough that he wouldn’t hurt me in any way. I could feel his chest shake as he laughed against my back. It was not as fair now that we weren’t the same size anymore. The only chance I had was throwing things or jumping him from behind.

“Do you give up?!” Cory chuckled in my ear as I tried to squirm out.

“Never!”

I tried to pull away, knowing this game. I kept laughing and wiggled a hand free from the trap. Then I started to tickle his stomach till he let me go. I lucked out, we were both very ticklish. I would be so doomed if it was just me.

“Race you!” I shouted.

I started after I picked up my book that was dropped carelessly on the sidewalk during the tickle entrapment. I watched as Cory caught up easily, which made me run harder I did not want him to win. I’m a tad on the competitive side. He is taller than I and his longer legs gave him that extra step length. As we grew up he loved holding things over my head so I could not reach.

“Don’t hurt yourself, Abby!”

At that I paused at running and I pushed him over. Since Cory wasn’t excepting it he fell over onto the grass of some person’s lawn. He laughed as he tried to catch his breath sitting on the ground. I bent over trying to catch my breath, leaning so that my hands were on my knees. I really needed to start running. Great, now I need to take a shower before I go to work! That was going to take time out of my small relaxation time.

“Are you alright?”

I turned my head to glare at him. This was getting old fast, real fast. My chest rose and fell heavily as I stood back up to put my hands on my hips to face Cory. He really needed to learn to listen to me about this.

“Okay Cory, get this straight in that thick skull of yours, I’m fine!” The last two words came out real slow to try to get my point across.

“You were in the hospital!”

I rolled my eyes. This would be a lot easier if I still could breathe. I moved my arms so that they were across my chest as I shifted my weight to one foot. Still huffing I tried to look for the words.

“Cory, it was just my appendix! It’s a very normal thing! Many people have to get it taken out. There is medical evidence that I do not need an appendix to live, I’ll live a, well, close to normal life.” I spoke knowing he was just trying to be nice, but I was about to beat him into the ground if he and my parents didn’t leave me alone soon about this.

People need to stop being so overprotective of me and let me live my life!

“But I should have been there for you!”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

I pulled him up from the ground as he almost toppled into me and we continued to walk home. There wasn’t a lot of cars on the roads around as we broke off the main raods and went on side streets. Cory was on the sidewalk as I walked on the edge of the curb.

“Remember, I was supposed to come over and watch that movie with you? If I went over there, then you wouldn’t have been alone when the pain hit.” Cory had his hands in his pockets as he just stared at the ground, shuffling his feet.

I rolled my eyes. He was insane! It was unnecessary guilt for him to live with.

“Cory, you were studying and I was fine! Josh came home just shortly after the pain started and everything was fine! Stop carrying this nonsense guilt! So, remember not to be late tonight for our first day of work or then you will truly be sorry because I will not cover for your sorry butt.”

He rolled his eyes as we turned into our street. I turned into my house once we reached it. I unlatched the lopsided fence around our whole yard, but it was stuck so I gave it a big kick to loosen it.

“Ah my royal lady, what grace and sophistication you have!” Cory spoke still standing on the crack filled sidewalk with his arms opened wide.

I raised my arms high and gave a deep bow. I turned around and jumped into the yard. I hopped up the stairs to the front door and tried to open it. The door was stuck so I had to kick that too. I really wished I wore sneakers today.
