AWARD!!!
Hey! The good news seems to be in the air! My blog was nominated for an award! I really was not expecting this and I seriously want to thank Sue again for this! I seriously appericate it! It really made my day!
There are a few things that the new recipients must do should they decide to accept this award. They are:
1. Thank and link back to the person that gave this award.
2. Answer the 10 survey questions.
3. Pass the award along to other bloggers who you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked to let them know about the award.
Now for the questions:
1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this; if you are not anonymous, do you wish that you had started out anonymously so that you could be anonymous now?
I'm not annoymous and it really does not bother me. If people feel more comfortable like this then that is good that is good that we have that option.
2. Describe on incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
Hahaha I really do not know where to begin with this...I'm probably more stubborn then I should be at times. It interwines with my determination though so for school it works out. With people it shows that I have fire and willing to fight for what I believe in and care about.
3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
I see a person trying to still figure themselves out, and I'm not ashamed to say that. I've done a lot of soul searching the past year and trying to work on my confidence because of that. I will not say I am fully satifisted, but I'm more comfortable with who I am and willing to keep working on it.
4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
Um maybe water? I like hydration? When I was younger it was a treat to have pink leomande though, we did not always have it in the house.
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
I'm trying to remember. I love hanging out with my friends, I do not get to see them much so I love seeing and just doing whatever with them. I also enjoy reading and writing. On occation doing my nails and watching a movie or going to the beach. I also enjoy a hot bubble bath with a book and music to relax.
6. Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
I'm only 20 so I think I have a lot of time to work on it. I would love to finish school, might get my masters in Special Education. I want to keep publishing stories, I love it! I want to also backpack through Europe, get married and have a family of my own one day.
7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?
I wasn't the bottom of the pond, and I was not one of the 'popular' group. I was in band, concert, marching, and jazz band. I talked to the people I felt like talking to, got picked on a little, nothing really major. My graduating class was around 400 people, pretty bubble town, and I was able to ingore a lot of it if I did not want to deal. I had my small group of friends and some friends outside of that group and I was good.
8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?
Haha um I have a few moments I guess. I picture moments with my friends to make me smile. I printed out the letter for the accpetance letter from BCP company for my next book to hang on my wall. Like Sue, I wish I could say my spouse, but atlas I'm single, but I will admitt I think about moments with my ex-boyfriend, conversations with other people. I really don't think I am answering this question right.
9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
It is easier for me to present the true verison of me in writing then when I actually meet someone. My ex will even agree to that. I really try to be honest on my blog because I do value honesty very much. I want my readers to really know who I am and to do that I have to show that I'm honest. To show this true self is something that I hope I'm really showing.
10. If you had the choice to sit down and read a book or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Depending on who is on the phone. A couple fo my friends I can talk for hours with, and otherwise probably reading. However as a future teacher I do have the ablitiy of not knowing when to stop talking. My friend Alex and I talked for like 16 hours straight.
Now go and visit the bloggers I nominate for this award. Off you go...

update news
Hey!
I hope everyone had a happy and fun Thanksgiving yesterday!! I know I did, had a few of my relatives over my parent's house. I got to see three of my little cousins, they really are growing up so fast! The 3 year old decided the napkin was meant to be a hat instead of being worn on his lap. Going to NYC tomorrow to see his older sister who is 10 preform in the Liberity Center The Nutcracker tomorrow!! I'm truley thankful for my family! They were so excited to hear about my news about Family Ties. I'm also thankful for my friends, the giggles of the conversations that night!!
I just finished editing A Pirate's Life for Me tonight!! It took longer then I wanted it to, but I'm so happy that I got to relive that story! I am sending it to the friend I'm decating it to if it gets published. I'm curious on her opinion and if she agrees with me if it needs a sequal. My worry is if it does get published, that the people reading it will chuck the book at my head for how I ended it. Plus it isn't like people would have to twist my arm much to revisit the characters Sly and Jacqueline. I love my characters, I enjoy the characters more then my plots.
Have fun and stay safe with the upcoming holiday season!

in the mail
Hey!
After seeing the people I follow have their own 'in the mail' posts, I have one! However this one isn't a book in the mail, however I did recieve two books, waiting for me for when I came home from school. This 'in the mail' is that I have signed the BCP company's contract and it will be in the mail tomorrow. It is a step closer to getting Family Ties published. The estamated date is May 1, 2011, but that day is not set in stone. I'll keep everyone in the loop though!
Looking at my bookselves for my 2 new books I try to figure out where to put them. I really will need a room just for my books when I get my own place! I really have an obession it feels like.

BCP Excitment!!!
Hey!!!!
So I got the email of good news today after a long week of school!! Bucks County Publishing is accepting Family Ties as their next book!!!! This good news was exactly something I needed! I read through their contract, but my dad wanted to read the contract before I signed. Do not care if that sounds childish, but my parents just want to make sure everything is in order. I still have so much school work to be focusing on, but what a way to start the season on a good note!! This book I have been trying to prevent hurting anyone's eardrums, my poor ex with my first book! I'll keep explaining what's going on! I'm so excited!! I'm hoping this good news helps perk up my motivation! Look for Family ties late spring/ early summer!!

sorry!
Hey!
Sorry everyone that it has been like a week! I really was trying to keep on this more often...sorry it has been really crazy with school lately! The next month will continue to be a trial on my poor last bit of sanity. Thanksgiving I'm hoping will help a little bit of help, however I have a couple major things due not long after that. My goal however is to finally finish editing A Pirate's Life for Me. I know it takes me FOREVER to edit. I do not have much more chapters left in it and its fun reseeing how the story unfolds. I wrote this when I was 16, almost 5 years ago. The more I edit it the most I play around with the idea of writing a sequal for this, no promises, but I'm going to try to write one for these characters.
Also I deleted my facebook profile, but I still have the page on facebook if you want to check that out! You can also contact me there, on here, through email, Goodreads, and Book Blogs. I don't want to be a snob, I want to be able to talk to people who are reading my works. Read their comments and answer questions. Like that kind of relationship of being able to commuicate and actually talk to the readers.

Veterans Day
Hey!
Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to those you have served, fallen, and or still serving! Thank you for all that you have done and sacrificed. I really do not believe there is enough words to describe thank you in the dictionary in any language. To those who are currently over seas right now, stay safe so you can come home to your families and friends!
As my other blog mentioned for 3804 Bill, to vote on it click www.washingtonwatch.com . You do not need to register or sign in for anything when you vote.

Pirating Stories
I know people for years have been talking about pirating movies. I know I have gone to NYC a few years back and seen the movies on the streets being sold. However people are doing this will stories online. I read something this morning that I would like to share.
"Writers are having problems with pirates. No, not the kind with big ass swords who yell, “I’m going to use your guts for garters, my pretty.” No, these internet pirates are stealing our books.
Authors and publishers are being forced to walk the financial plank. Not only do these brigands cost us hard-earned income, they can even contribute to ending our careers. Sales determine an author’s success and if thousands of our books are being downloaded from the pirate sites instead of legitimate sites, it can seriously impact our sales and future career.
What surprises us the most about these bandits is they list “being a mom” on their profiles. Wow! Are these moms going into grocery stores and stealing food? If they need a new car, do they steal the neighbor’s? Do they spot a designer dress and stuff it in their pants and run out the front door? Probably not, because they know they’ll end up in jail with a nice arrest record and fingerprint goop all over their hands.
The pirates know they are doing wrong but just don’t care and here’s a list of excuses they hide behind.
Freedom of speech. Say what? Stealing other people’s work is NOT freedom of speech. It’s theft, plain and simple. How would the pirates like it, if they worked a 60 hour week and on payday someone came in and snatched 90% of their pay away claiming it was their “right” to do so?
The economy. Guess what? Writers eat, too. We’re working stiffs trying to make ends meet. Our books are our paychecks and we only get paid based on the sales of our books. They don’t sell well, we don’t get paid.
Writers are rich. I wish. Most authors make less than a Walmart greeter. Sad but true. Very few of us live in a mansion and jet to Europe for the weekend.
They’re doing us a favor by putting our books on these sites. Are you kidding me? You’re not helping us and we don’t enjoy being robbed blind by our so called fans.
It’s a criminal act to upload or download books you didn’t write for free. Most of the “free” download sites are basically criminal organizations. Some sites even burn dozens of popular ebooks to CD’s and sell them on ebay.
There is a pending bill in the Senate S3804, The Combatting Copyright Infringement and Counterfiet Acts. However this bill was stashed when the Senators made a mad dash home to save their flagging careers. The elections are over and we need to eat. Please email your Senator. This has to stop."
I recieved this on goodreads and felt it should be shared.

oh november...
Hey!
So we are finishing up the first week of November, the short month. Those in school, I do not know about work, know that this is a month wehre everything is done. The saying 'so much to do, so little time' really rings true. During the next month and December I will truly be swamped, not exciting. Thanksgiving up coming up soon, then comes Decmember, the month of holidays. My dad has had started putting Christmas lights up on our house since mid October. Hopefully this weekend though I will be sending a submission letter to Bucks County Publishing sunday, for Family Ties. Really crossing my fingers on that one.

starting query letters for...
Hey!
So I have decided that in 2 weekends I will start sending out query letters for 'Family Ties'! I love 'End of the Line', it probably has some of my favorite characters in it and I do hope it does pick up a pace one day. However, I do believe sometimes it takes that one story and the rest will follow suit. So I'll move onto book too and let things keep building! I'll probably post a summer of 'Family Ties' soon, but I'm going to start those query letters then, and after a certain point of constant no's I might just self publish with another company again. I tend to be impatient apparently when it comes to this. I'm hoping that agents will like this story though...
