End of Summer
I know that there is pretty much another month of summer, but for me as a teacher, I go back to work in two days. So summer is pretty much over. As always I had a mental list of things I wanted to accomplish this summer, and I'm pretty much sure I did close to none of it. Oops! At least the batteries are recharged? I also finished another Christmas Lites story today! It's been 9(?) years since it has started and I've had a story in almost every edition! It's crazy and I love being part of this big project every year! It is a short sweet story this year. I try to change it up every year. I think I already know what I want to do next year!
I did a Facebook take over the other day and I got asked what my next project is. It made me think. I did put out a few stories this year after a little hiatus. If you all could see my computer folder you'd know that I do have plenty in the works. However, editing fees does slow things down. I do have a few things in the works and I might try something new editing wise to help be able to put more stuff out quicker, without breaking the bank. As you know I got married this summer and the hubby and I have some financial plans for the future. He supports me and my writing, but I want to make sure that help out with those plans.
So what am I working question that got me thinking. Number one, Pirate story, I have been saying this for year, but I will be making this happen and I am looking at covers so it is real! I will just have to come up with a better title and edit it and that will be out late this year, early 2020! Who doesn't like pirates? Number 2, Invisible Bond (Family Ties 2), another title that I've been saying that would be coming out soon. I need to beef it up a little and edit it, but that will be released 2020 as well. I'm currently working on a titleless story that is a little different than my other stories. I am enjoying it, but I am not 100% sure if it will be a full-on novel or a mini novella series like Mistakes is. I did write out a small outline for them, but I am leaning towards a novella series for that. Oh, and I do have my clone story that I will go back and scan through before beginning the editing process. I am sure there are others that I'm not thinking about that I want to work on, but I'm sure more new ones will pop up!

Mistakes Anthology Cover Reveal
So I am finally sharing the details for the Mistakes Anthology that will be released NEXT FRIDAY!!! You can preorder the ebook copy now, but the paperback will be available next Friday! I am also sharing that I'll doing an event July 27th from 6-10pm. I'll have several copies of each book including the new books. I'll be doing this even in Colonial Heights Virginia. There are more details to come.

There is a world that lives in the shadows of the moonlight that watches us. These creatures observe people from their past, remembering all of their wrong doing towards them while they were humans. Yet there seems to be trouble brewing in this hidden realm when one wolf challenges the leader. That one person causes a spiral of chain events that might put all humans at risk and the world that they know.
Now here is the full cover for the paperback. I hope that you all still like it as much as the others!

TWO upcoming releases
I'm currently taking a break from cleaning/laundry. I mean I live an exciting life full of adventure... Can't you feel the sarcasm this morning? Currently, my internet is trying to upload the cover for one of the upcoming releases for June. You did read that right, there will be two releases this June. The pressure is on! I would have put one in July, but I'm getting married in July and I can picture myself working on minor details and completely forgetting to market a release. At least I'm honest right?
The first release will be on June 14th. This release is a kind of new release. I put all the Mistakes novellas together to create an anthology. I prefer paperback books myself, and if there is an in-between book only available on ebook format I tend to not read it. It is terrible, my kindle spends most of its time collecting dust if I get a book for review that's pretty much when I use my kindle, otherwise I could go on and on about how much I prefer paperbacks. I wanted to let my readers who are the same way to have a way to read the Mistakes series. So I put the whole collection together as a collection. The collection will be available for ebook users AND paperback users. I have had some financial stuff going on lately so I couldn't afford to do a big cover, but I wanted it to go along with the other covers in the series. I hope that you all like it! I'll share that in a day or two ;)
The other release is FINALLY happening! I've been talking about this release for YEARS. End of the Line's sequel, Off the Beaten Path is FINALLY being released next month! I wasn't sure if I would rewrite a sequel to my first book, but a few years later I wrote one, I did have to take a little break because I almost felt like I wrote myself into a corner. Once it was written I had one editor take it. She had it, edited it, then her computer crashed. Unfortunately, some other factors happened and she couldn't edit the piece again. That in itself was a couple of years. Then this past December I gave the story to another editor that I've worked with and she sent the final piece to me this past week! I will not share this cover quite yet, but keep an eye out for ebook details for End of the Line so that you are prepared for the sequel! June will be a busy month and I hope that you all are ready!

Mistakes Anthology
Hello!
It's a Tuesday night and we're outside enjoying this beautiful night. However l started the process of turning all of the Mistakes series into an anthology. That's right, all five stories in one spot, both in ebook format in addition to paperback! So if you've been waiting to read these werewolf story, but didn't have an ereader your chance is coming next month!
All of the stories have been edited, but I'm combing through them all again anyway just incase there is a typo or what not. I am also formatting them all to match for the paperback version. I'm hoping it'll come out nice.
However, the cover is making me over think. I love the eyes and would love to work that into the cover of the anthology since each book had it. I had a couple holding hands that I was going to use, you only see their hands. Looking at it again I don't know if I want to go in that direction. I'm going to have to play around with that. I'm up for suggestions 😁😉
As usual I'll keep you all in the loop!

Funfetti and Writing
Yesterday was a rainy Saturday and going to the vet in addition to doing laundry were the only things on my agenda. How adult right? So I decided to treat myself to some homemade cookies even though I'm trying to get back to my healthy habits. I'm good all week so I decided it was time to enjoy life a little. It doesn't help that I wanted to use a few things that I had gotten from my bridal shower. Now, a bridal shower when you're opening up plates, towels, and knives and getting exciting for those stuff makes you realize, 'Oh gees, I have hit this point'.

Okay, you don't want to hear about me and spatulas. This week the last installment of the Mistakes series will be released! This series has been in the works since I was in high school. I think I started it when I was a sophomore. Actually Moonlit Eyes was originally going to be a novel by itself and it was the book that I was working on. Its title was Mistakes. I got about a quarter through it then wrote myself into a corner. Then a couple of years later I wrote Shadows from the Past which was suppose to be in a collection. The collection ended up not happening, but then I thought of a way to connect that story with the one I started in high school.
I had the chance to write in a Halloween collection, but I didn't get the Whispers in the Woods done in time so again this story was put aside. Finally I was decided to write the whole series on its own. Little by little I was able to get each story added to the series. It is a little embarrassing that that the first one was published in 2013. Oops! I had finished the last one in the fall and was prepared to publish it for Halloween like I normally do. However, the ending just felt flat to me. A couple months later I figured out how to fix the ending. I hope that everyone enjoys the ending and that it has been worth the wait! :)

Ready to go
I'm currently visiting my family in Jersey this week. I'm on spring break so I came up for some wedding planning with the family. I had my bridal shower the other day. It was great seeing my family and friends. I'm getting a lot of wedding related stuff ready, writing, not so much. However, I did get the last installment in the Mistakes series ready to go for pre-orders! Keep your eyes out because Moonlit Eyes will be available for all ebook users soon! It will be released April 18th though!

A long line
Good morning!
It is technically still before noon so I can still say that! It is Friday! Yes! However, also sad because it is also the last Friday off because I start back to full time on Wednesday. Back to balancing teaching and writing. Did I write everything that i had planned to this summer? No, but i got a lot of editing done which in the long run I knew was coming.
Which brings me to today's post. No it isn't a title of another End of the Line book ;) . It's what I have right now, a long line. So Call for Help (Beneath the Scars 2) is currently with my editor Jenn. She is a good way through. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did writing it. You'll get to meet a couple of the characters on Facebook this week as I do a character takeover this week.
Sadly End of the Line 2 Amy is not able to finish editing and that is fine. Jenn will be working on that within a couple of months. I keep going back and forth with the name I have two ideas for it Walking a Thin Line or Off the Beaten Path. I would love to see it as a trilogy, but i dont want to force anything either.
Talking about series, I went over the last Mistakes story and will be submitting it to an editor next so the werewolf story will be out in time for Halloween! Then Mistakes is done, which is weird to say, the five novella series done. I enjoyed writing paranormal, I don't touch it much as i probably should.
Okay that's three stories that are either at an editor or will be soon. My mom went through my pirate story that I wrote back in high school. I took it and refurbished it. I'm going to tweak the title, but here is another story that is in line for an editor. These characters might be more patient than the next character.
Who would have thought you'd hear the name Abby again? Invisible Bonds is my next for me to go through her edits then send to an editor. It is a little shorter and might end up being a novella instead.
Lastly, I just sent Define a Hero (Beneath the Scars 3) to my mom. We will see what she thinks when she edits it. She liked the second one. We'll see what she thinks of the third and last installment of the trilogy. The ending got me ;)
Haha like I said a whole lot of editing this summer! I started a new project which is a little different, but I'm excited to write again! Despite school starting up I hope to get some writing in as well.
Wow long post I'm sorry. Happy Friday!!

Join in the celebration!
I'm currently typing this on my phone as I am sitting in Subaru' s waiting room. My car is getting an oil change. Now I am not writing this so you can celebrate my oil change. Not that they don't have create service and that I'm not using their internet (Thank you!). I'm weird, but not that weird. If you are friends with me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter you might know what news I want to share today.
A little ten years ago I met this guy at school. He joined my lunch table. He tried to get me to put my book down and to talk to people. We haven't had the simplest road in life, but somehow fate brought us back together. Ryan asked me to marry him on Monday! I knew he had a ring, but I wasn't sure when he would ask.
Nothing says romance like President Day. Whatever works. We are a little dorky and corny. I'm still getting used to calling him fiancee and wearing the ring. Now I'm filled with excitement so I put all my ebooks on sale. I don't know for how long, but I want to share the warm and fuzzy feeling with everyone! Mistakes series is free and all the other ebooks are 1.99 or .99!

Corporal Riley Nolan is back home and out of the hospital after sustaining severe injuries in a skirmish overseas. His physical injuries may be healed, though he is left with horrible scars all over his body. His mind is still healing, and he has almost no contact with the world outside his small dark apartment.
After the death of her parents and being forced to sell their house and move into an apartment in a new town, Eponine is left picking up the pieces while trying to maintain a normal life for her little sister, Genevieve.
Can these new neighbors help each other heal, finding the light and laughter in the world again? Most importantly, can Eponine help Riley see he's not the monster he believes himself to be beneath the scars?

Mistakes 5
It is a rainy Friday night. My one dog, Lily, is curled up under a blanket against me as I am spending the night writing Mistakes #5. I originally thought that it would be a full length novel, but as I am writing it, I'm thinking it's probably going to be a novella just like 1-4. I like the changes that the characters have been taking. This is the story that started it all. Back in high school I wrote about half of a werewolf story that was put on the back burner. Then I wrote the first one to be part of collection that didn't happen. When it wasn't use I thought of a way to connect it to the one that I wrote in high school which is now known as Mistakes #5.
I can say it is a little different than the other four. The other four lead up to this hopefully big battle that will be the fate of all humans. It will be different to be done with the series. I don't know if I'll write another werewolf series. I don't know if it is weird to write two different werewolf stories, but have them be in different worlds in a way. I know I have a few other stories that I have been working on a little here and there. It is helping that my attention span is slowly returning from grad school. I swear grad school took my attention span and put it in a blender, then ten rounds in a boxing ring.
I also started my Christmas Lites short story. I think I was going to go one in direction, but I have a feeling this story might go in another direction. We'll see. I'm getting back into the world of writing more since I'm done with grad school and work will be starting up in a month. Part of that story's problem is it's been over 90 degrees and I'm suppose to be feeling in the Christmas spirit. It'll happen, it always does.

The Happenings
Summer is approaching and I finished grad school which I thought would mean time to dive head first into writing. However, right around the time of my graduation I went to my doctor and my blood work came back as pre-diabetic. When I got the results I was confused, upset, and just didn't know where to begin. I eat healthy and exercise 4-6 times a week. I don't drink soda, and most of the food I make at home is homemade. I didn't really share the information because I have been a little embarrassed about it. I probably shouldn't be, but I am. I wasn't sure about that doctor's opinion in addition to not liking how the doctor handled the results I went to my primary doctor. She talked to me, and unlike the other doctor didn't seem bothered to explain the blood work then what the game plan would be if they came back positive. She's amazing.
Thankfully I have a supportive boyfriend who lives off mt. dew and pizza just said we'll do what we have to, to get the levels lower. Now I'm not very elevated so I am staying positive that it will be reversed before I get an actual diagnosis of diabetes. I've been reading, changing my eating habits, and changed my exercise routine. Since my doctor appointment which was May 26 I've lost about 3lbs. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I've been wanting to lose weight for the last few months. Getting this diagnosis was that final nail, "I really need to do it". The 3lbs make me giddy and I hope there's more to come, well lose?
Sorry I really feel awkward sharing real personal information like that so thank you for making it this far on my post. Last night I dove into editing my pirate story that I started back in high school and have since then refurbished. I don't know why picking an old story and editing it helps me get back into the grove of things. However, based off going the first chapter this might be the last time I go through it before I have a beta reader go through it. It reads as if I've gone through it many of times...I know the first part is ready, but we'll see about part two when I get there. Then on top of that I've been doing a few notes on Beneath the Scars 2 and Mistakes #5! Now to get through my nightly exercise so that I can do a little writing before bed!
Goodnight!

Happy Sunday
So Friday I finished my thesis paper!! ::Cheers:: I will however, have to print it out and mail a copy to my professor, but the writing part is done! That means that I will be able to get back into writing again! I still work a full time job, and tutor two times a week, but I will have some free time. I am already trying to think of projects to do around the house so that I can spend some time outside. I have been working on a couple of stories here and there just to keep my mental state's sake. I am already trying to think of what story I want to be working on first. The fact that they are all different genres will probably help, so whatever mood I am might help which story I get to work on. The three stories that I've been working on here or there are Beneath the Scars 2, Mistakes 5, and try not to cringe at the last one, a vampire story. I know I said that I wouldn't write a vampire story, but I had a dream a few years ago and started a story off of it. Thought I got stuck and put it on home, but I thought of how to fix it up to get rid of the writers block. Hopefully it works out. I cannot wait to dive into writing again. That might be why I have list of stories that I want to work on. I'll talk to you soon then!
Happy Sunday,
Ottilie

Ebook Week
The sun is shinning, and well unlike earlier this week it is cold. I went from wearing sandals to back to my fuzzy boots. I know that it is still technically winter so I really don't have much room to comment. However, when we got that tease of summer weather, I am ready for it. On another note it is ebook week starting tomorrow on smarshwords. I know I'll probably go checking books out throughout the week because I am almost done with grad school. My goal for the summer is to do some reviews again and to dive heads first into writing. I will have to clear some major cobwebs.
Now keep in mind these prices will only be from March 5-11 so make sure to take advantage of them while they are around.

Mistakes Series
So the fourth installment of the Mistakes series is going to be released this weekend! It will pop up everywhere on Saturday except on Amazon it will be available on Sunday. I have started writing the fifth one as well, but with school and work it might take a little bit. This series fits its title in may ways. In high school I started to write a werewolf story which I called Mistakes. I never finished writing. A few years later I wrote a short story for an author that wanted to put together a collection for a cause. Not enough authors got together so I had this story. A few months later I went through and added a few parts. Looking over the ending I thought it connected to the story that I wrote back in high school. That's when I released Shadows from the Past.
I figured that I would at some point connect the two, but I wasn't sure. I also don't usually write supernatural stuff so I enjoyed the little break of something new. The second one I wrote because I was going to be part of a Halloween collection. However, I didn't finish it on time so again I decided to publish Whispers in the Woods on my own. That is the story of mistakes, the accidental series and how it got started. Funny enough the fifth installment I am revamping the story that I started in high school and wrapping it all together. I will keep everyone in the loop.
Here is the cover revealing of Mistakes #4, A Howl for a Resistance.
Months of hiding for their lives and scavenging for food there isn't any sign of Liam. Ivy and Nathan are searching for Liam, but they do not know where to start. The weight of knowing what Abraham is capable of rests on Ivy's shoulders which dampens her senses. On their journey they are filled with questions. Is there a way to stop Abraham? What will happen if they fail?

Video Interview
Summer is drawing close to an end. I know I go back to work on Wednesday and I can't believe how fast it went. I didn't accomplish as much as I would have liked, but I feel like I say that every year. A few weeks ago I mentioned how I was doing a character interview with Kris Hack. Well today my video is released and you all can see my awkward rambling. At first I thought it had to be a mythical creature, but then I heard it was any character I had to talk about one of my favorite types of, sarcastic/witty character. I might be bias considering my sense of humor is pretty dry, but I enjoy reading and writing sarcastic/witty characters.
You can see my interview on her website. First you have to sign up HERE to see all 11 interviews. All it is, is your email and name, you aren't put on a spam list or anything. Once you sign up that's it. If you already have done so you can see the interviews HERE. I can't promise when you watch my video that you won't see one of my dogs or not. I honestly can't remember if they chose that time to take a nap or not. I talk about different characters in all of my stories including to End of the Line 2, Off the Beaten Path. However, I will warn you I do tend to talk with my hands a lot, can I blame that on being a teacher?

Care to guess who I'm talking about ;) |
On other hand I got Mistakes #4 back from my editor Jenn. I have been going through it in parts. My boyfriend and I are in the house hunting so that has kept me pretty occupied the past few weeks. However, I haven't been talking about the edits as much or advertising because I started to second guess my title and I feel funny saying I have a story being released in about a weekish without stating the title. With starting my thesis class this month, working, and house stuff it might slow my writing down a bit more down than usual, plus put me on a tight budget so the fifth installment might take me a bit to write I am warning everything.
Since Mistakes #4 is being released within the next couple of weeks I put the first couple on sale so that everyone can get caught up!

So I am taking part of the Smashwords Summer sale. They have a sale twice a year that they share and authors can take part of. All the books are 50%, 75%, or 100% off! I will probably play around as the month goes along.
