Hey Lovelies!
I know it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted! I seriously had intended on posting something fun on here the other week and I promise I will do so! See now I have made that promise it is set in stone! I am mentally five when it comes to promises, if you make one you should as hell (can I say hell on here?) better keep it, also the deal is online and we know once something is on the world wide web it is not going anywhere! I'm thinking of doing a little behind the scenes of Family Ties! Lame or cool?? If people like it I might continue to do so with other stores! Just a little details of what was going on when I wrote it, where the ideas came from. I'd like to hear your ideas on that.
AHH also I recieved an email saying I got an award a week or longer ago, can't find it. I really wish I could remember who awarded it to me so that i could at least thank them!! So sorry I really appericate it!!
So I thought of a couple of scenes I might be adding to Pirate's part 2. One of which might help the plot a little more. If editing it works out then the books will be a series A Pirate's Life for Me and Heart out at Sea. Corny names I'm sure, but they just feel right! I'm hoping to finish that this summer earlier, hopefully! My friend Amy said she'll read through it before I see if BCP wants it, I am loving the BCP family by the way! We did our first Author chat live the other week and I might be doing one at the end of the month! So exciting, it was a lot of fun so I'll keep you updated when that is happening! The first giveaway for Family Ties went seriously better then I could have expected! 1,198 people entered to win a signed copy of my book I seriously can't get over that number! I was talking to my friend Taylor (the one End of the Line was dedicated to!) about how I went from 5 readers in high school to that many wanting to win my book! Over 200 people on goodreads added the book to their lists! I'm jittery just thinking about it! I'm planning on putting a copy of End of the Line up on goodreads in a giveaway when I am done with the re-release! Still not sure when that is happening, but I'm enjoying the process none the less!
I'm sure I'm forgetting to say something. Hopefully I'll be posting soon though!

What's going on!
Hey Lovelies!
I'm terribly sorry that it has been almost a week since I have updated! I know I keep saying I'll do better! I figured I would share what is going on in Ottilie's writing world. I figured I'd start a behind the scenes type entry for my books. I'll do one for Family Ties probably this weekend, I'll share tid bits on what I was thinking while writing it and little fun facts about it, I hope this makes up for not writing in awhile! When End of the Line gets closer to being re-released I'll do one for that story and so on! Hopefully everyone will enjoy them!
I am actually almost done writing the end of Pirates!! I can't believe that this is almost done, my baby is growing up! I know that sounds a little crazy, bare with me. I'll be doing revisions for it this summer, the end will probably be finished this week, hopefully by tomorrow! While the revisions are going on, I'll be working on Project US, Runaway, Beaker to Life, and the short story for the charity! Curious if after the revisions if Pirates will be one story or two, and if only one will I use the title A Pirates Life for Me or Heart out at Sea. There will probably other projects as well, like figuring out what I'm doing for a cover for End of the Line. Taylor is usually pretty busy so I'm not sure if she'll do another cover or I'll take my friend Amy's offer, she offered to do a photoshoot for the cover when the rain finally stops here! Don't mind me today was barely overcast and today was the first sign of sun in a week. I'm in dire need of sun and beach! Hmm I feel like I'm missing something else....hope not and talk to you soon!

keeping busy!
Hey Everyone!
I feel like I'm just one of those people who feel the need to keep themselves busy, even if it is with random stuff. One of my quirks I was noticing when I bought Blue is for Nightmare at the closing Borders by me that it was the newer cover. I was searching online to make sure I could get the newer style covers for the other books online or whatever when I got that far, I can. I was also noticing I have so many books to read this summer! I have a slight addiction to books, as the ladies I talk to on Goodreads puts it, 'literary junky'. The term is so true! Along with it is very amusing. I also am planning on finishing part 2 of Pirates this summer!! I even have my friend Taylor to sit on my case a little to make sure that it gets done! I am on a mission, also a little curious on how it will end myself, I normally have an ending in my when I first start writing. This one though I have a couple of different directions I can go. However along with the bunch of books I WANT to read, I might be taking a class online this summer, economics, ugh just typing that my stomach turns!
For book process update! I know I'd said that I would be showing the cover for Family Ties last week, I am sorry that I did not. I have not seen it yet myself! My friend Ryan was laughing via facebook at my ansty-ness! If one could glare via facebook I would have done it to him yesterday! He lives in Long Island hence why I would have to do harm via facebook. I emailed BCP yesterday, trying not to sound pushy or mean considering through email words can be read many different ways. I'm purely just very interested to see what it looks like! BCP says it is almost done, but he's not in love with the cover yet. It's a comfort to know that they want to make sure it is just right without rushing! There is care going into it!
List of wanting to read and own:
-The Golden Spiral
-Unearthly
-Blue is for Nightmare
-Hunchback of Notre Dame
-East of Eden
-City of Bones
-Outlander
-The Ladyship's Companion
-Perfect Chemistry
-Prophecy of the Sisters
-Wildwood Dancing
-Academy 7
-Vampire Academy
-White Cat
(no specific order!)
Then there is so many others I want to read, but don't know, because if you notice, most of those books are part of a series! There are several stories I'll probably be working on as well! Though it can't be long now till summer!! I drove by Belmar and Spring Lake beaches yesterday!! Moving water! There was no snow or anything! For those who are not from Jersey, the snow from our several couple of feet snow storms just recently melted, and we can finally see grass! I love the beach and have been going since I was 6 months old, I'm currently going through beach withdrawal so I can not wait till I can start going again! Spring is almost in the air!

montage of news!
Hey!
So not even sure if I spelt the title write, but I'm going to go with it! So yes I have several news, but first I am sorry that it has been a week since I have last written!! Okay so I got in my email yesterday a very lovely piece of mail!!! I got the edited verison of Family Ties after much talking to the awsome editor Jenn!! I know hell week is over, though I'm in college hell weeks never fully end. I have started to read through it to make sure I approve. It is so exciting!! To see something I have written in a book format, it's still on word, but still it's amazing. I don't care if this is the second book I'm producing, it all feels new and exciting and I love it!!
However like I said, it's still busy in school and I'm trying to balance school which is slowly eating away my soul, and looking over Family Ties before saying the okay!! I'm ubberly excited, even though I have not seen the cover which I am itching to see! Waiting and I do not go hand in hand too well...
Hmm what else did I have to say...Oh! Yes so End of the Line is competely and utterly awaiting those with e-readers to enjoy! I am still not very happy with Xlibris, calling when they want money for something else when I keep telling them I don't have a job, but they dont' return my calls when I have a problem. Along with other cat and mice games so I am thinking of canceling my service with Xlibris, while looking for another self publisher or something for it to be in print I'm going to keep the e-reader form up till then!! I have spring break in like 2 weeks and I'm hoping to do all of that during that time! That way hopefully the print form will be cheaper for yall!! I'm probably keep the cover for End of the Line because I love it!
There was more news...
Oh yeah so I'm still attempting to write the short story for the charity, edit Project US, write part 2 of Pirates and school, silly school getting in the way!! Spring break in 2 weeks I'm hoping to get stuff done and not feel guilty about school and stories...

A Dance in the Gardens
Hey Everyone!!
Yes today is Valentine's Day, this holiday has never been a biggie for me. It's a whatever holiday for me, and it is not only because I'm single, but that's a bigger discussion on a maybe different day. However despite the fact that it is monday, that I had 4 classes today, this is hell week, and to top it off it's Valentine's Day I'm not in a bad mood. Whether it be from the weird sleep pattern my body has developed, or the fact that it is in the 50's for temperature my mood is good and I'm blissifully unaware of the world around me. My friend Ryan is in a horriable mood because of the holiday I'm hoping he doesn't reach through technolgy and kill me. The fact that even though he's my ex I can still make him laugh.
Wow I'm seriously all over the place mentally I am terribly sorry! Oh, but in the spirit of Valentine's Day a scene in Part Two of the Pirate story came to me when I was waiting for class to start. I really am not the best student mentally attention wise apparently. I envision this garden and Jacqueline slow dancing. Can't share all the details because I'm mischious and do not want to give the plot away :) BUT I'm hoping people will enjoy the scene when I publish it. I really had no idea I would write a small scene like this when I started this story. I also do not know how I'm going to end this tale. If I still do not know what is going to happen at the end I might use one of my friends as a wall to bounce ideas off of, either Taylor or Ryan or someone who will listen to my phsyco babble.
I really sound like I have an obession with slow dancing. I have done this in a couple stories in different ways. Each dance having something special about it. End of the Line has a cute little slow dance in it between Aaron and Lauren [check the book out to see ;) ]. It is simple and happy, springish, to the song 'Everything I do, I do for you' and I really am trying not to give too much away. Project US is Nick and Rachel which I will promise to introduce yall to them eventually, they are caught up in a moment and flurries. Then Family Ties has a shorter one which yall get to see in April, filled with giggles of friendship.
I however only really slow danced once, only matter of seconds long, with an ex guy friend of mine now. I was pushed into him and had bruises up and down my arms from my friends pushing me into him, then it was ended short because he gave up.
I did not want to depress everyone on this holiday. For those who have love, cherish it, don't let them no know how much you love them, that you apperishate them. Today is a holiday to celebrate a couple, the love shared between the two people, a family, real close friends. Today is a day to enjoy the small things. Today is not a day of gifts given, but more the emotions.
Happy Day of Love,
~Ottilie

Plotting Pirates!
Hey Everyone!
So I have mentioned many times about my two pirate stories. That I have been trying to figure out where I'm going with the second one, but if I didn't write a second one I'm pretty sure if I get it published the readers will want to chuck their copies at my head, which I do not want! I want readers to enjoy my work, and for me to produce something that I am proud of. My name is on it, so I should be proud of what I'm presenting.
Okay back onto topic! So I've played with the idea before, but today when I was in my World History II class (shhhhhh I'm not always the most amazing student...I'm sure karma will get me as a teacher!) and this idea came to mine! Awaken me a little after not really sleeping all week. So I have an idea of where I am going with the second Pirates, but I do not think I will have enough to make it into a full on story, so...I'm going to combine the first and second!! I will play around to get it to flow right, and write the second part! I'm ubberly excited and can not wait to see how it turns out! Potientally this and Project US will battle for next for me to write a letter for submission to see if it can be published. I can get myself as excited with this as little kids when they hear there is cookie batter!! I do not know where to start and just want to get into it all!
Okay Though onto business other then I'm still waiting to read the first verison of Family Ties being edited. In April I'm pretty sure Family Ties will be published, I'm thinking if any blogs are curious in doing a review for it. Even if it is an electronic way to read it, I would seriously appericate it!! If you think you might be interested in reading this YA book please check out the description on the Books Tab up at top and contact me either on this post or my email just put something in the subject so I do not delete! Thank you!!

update!
Hey!
Sorry for it being awhile, I haven't had classes because of snow so I really don't have an excuse! Of course Jersey is suppose to have a Northeastern Wednesday, I do not do cold, I'm ready to move down south because this is getting ridclous!
So Family Ties is still under going being edited by Jenn, I curious to what she is doing. I truly have an awful sense of curiousity, use to drive Ryan crazy with how many questions I would ask. I'm trying to behave and not use AIM (she gave me her aim username) to contact her last night to ask her how she is doing with Family Ties. I do not know how much longer I'll be able to restrain myself. Stories are author's children, it's true as crazy as it might sound....
I'm kind itching already to get another story on the way to getting out there. I'm considering getting one of my series out to help draw people in. I might be wrong, but it seems like people want to read series, or that trilogies seemed to be in right now. I have a trilogy on works, 2 out of the 3 are written (Project US, Retrial of Poject US, and Project Not Again). I am trying to finish writing the third one, the second one needs to be run through again for my editing weridness to see if there is anything missing. The Project US, a big baby of mine, my longest story and just a piece that I have been working on, well started six years ago when I was a freshman in high school. Oh god that was six years ago!
It is pretty much the only real story that all of my friends have read, it was the piece that got me to really want to write. However I'm also considering the third book I try to get published is A Pirate's Life for Me. The sequal though I might have written myself into a corner, was not happy when I realized that. So yay series and wanting to get more stories out there...

oh the joys of school...
Hey Everyone,
So I was so sick yesterday I could barely get out of bed. I'm doing a little better today which is also the first day of classes. I would be so lucky to be sick when classes start up. So I'll see if I can find a job this semester, we'll see how that goes. Though I'm suppose to be really focusing on school this semester so odds of a job are slim which drives me crazy not going to lie! Thoug I'm also to see if I have time to write, I really want to get Pirates 2 (Heart out at Sea) finished this year, and work on Project US 3 (Project Not Again). I will also work on a short story that MIGHT go into a collection of paranormal fiction that a fellow author is trying to put together for the charity that fights illiteracy. When I finish writing the short story my friend Ryan says he doesn't mind reading it. Poor guy I keep turning to him to read my stuff!! I do not know what I'm going to write yet. We'll see how that goes!! I'm excited though!

getting back to normal...ish
Hey!
Okay so I think things are slowing down a little bit from break and unforunatly I go back to school soon. I really am just ready to graduate I'm done, and I really plan on going for masters?? I must really be losing my mind! Anywho... so the lucky winner of the Indie Holiday Giveaway Patty from NY! I don't really feel well today so I'll be mailing her, her copy tomorrow of End of the Line! Pretty exciting to have people read this book, it is one of my favorite that I wrote, written? I'm hoping others will be enjoying it also.
So news about Family Ties!! It is now going to be coming out in April not May! Not going to lie after seeing that news after checking my email for around 2 hours I nearly jumped, despite the fact that I was sitting on my floor. The waiting does not bring out the best in my curiousity which might be another reason my friends think Alice from Alice in Wonderland reminds them of me. I'm hoping to post soon the description of Family Ties on the Book Page soon! I'm eager to say the least. Also on BCP's site I have an author page, you should check out! I feel like I'm forgetting something else...I was celebrating my friend, Mo's, birthday last night till late this morning watching movies with a group of friends then I was unable to sleep afterwards. Got to hate an overactive mind at times...
Oh also I have worked out a better direction for Heart out at Sea, the sequal to A Pirate's Life for Me. I was heistant when I started writing it, but I am getting excited as I found the direction of where the characters want to go. It's looking to be interesting!!

Cabin fever, day 2
Hey Everyone!!
I don't know if everyone will understand this reference, but if anyone has seen The Muppet's Treasure Island, the song 'cabin fever' is beginning to take form. Those of us that are in Jersey, are still under state of emergency, and to further prove it. It stopped snowing this morning and it is 7pm and my street has yet to be plowed, just lovely. Just as a reference there is probably over 2 feet of snow. My poor car is gone, well was till my dad shoveled the driveway, but the street to free us all, nopes. The town's police called us to make sure that we would not leave our homes, however happily enough we did not lose power, I finished reading The Hourglass Door, and I have been working on the sequal to A Pirates' Life for Me, 'Heart Out at Sea'. After reading The Hourglass Door, just further proved, if I leave how I end A Pirates Life for Me how it is, I will have books thrown at my head.
Since a fair amount of people are getting a from of an e-reader, that will lead to more bruising which is not very nice! I'm figuring the characters out a little better, and I'm thinking there will be a form of romance that I have never really done before. It's all exciting! I can wait to explore this story a little more so that you all can also read it. I also have a few other tales being worked on as well. I guess I really needed this break from school!

end of the semester...
Hey!
I really hope everyone's schedule isn't as bad as mine. I might not really be updating this week sadly...unless I have uber good news which I want to share. I have finals starting not this upcoming week, but the next so all the last bit of assignments are this week and a test I SERIOUSLY need to do well on! So I will be going frantic with schoolwork. I will not have much time, which really is not okay in my book. I will be writing 'Project US 3: Project Not Again' and might try playing around with 'A Pirate's Life for Me 2 (Heart Out at Sea)', no promises on the second one however. I'm sorry for how long I might be absent...
